The Seller will provide the Buyer with a copy of a 3 or five generation pedigree of ancestors at delivery or upon receipt of a copy of the vet’s record stating that this kitten has been neutered and/or spayed. 8. The Seller, Angel Girl Ragdolls, provides a 72-hour limited health warranty that the above kitten/cat is in good health and is free from upper respiratory infections, fleas or mites. 10. If the kitten described above dies within two years of the date of purchase due to a congenital or hereditary defect, the Seller will replace the cat with a cat or kitten of similar or better quality or a refund of all or part of the purchase price, at the discretion of the Seller. To determine if the cat's death has been caused by a congenital or hereditary defect, the Seller must receive proof of the defect in the form of a complete autopsy report and a list of all vaccinations completed by a licensed veterinarian and performed at the Buyer's expense. Only a hereditary of congenital defect that causes death will be cause for a replacement. Accidental deaths and other problems will not be covered. The Seller will make every attempt to replace the cat with a Kitten/Cat of similar or better color, marking, and quality. 11. The Seller will have completed all of the age-appropriate vaccinations and all health care up until delivery at Seller’s expense, including age appropriate vaccinations against panleukopenia (feline distemper), calicivirus, and rhinotracheitis. BUYER OBLIGATIONS: 1. In order to validate this warranty, the Buyer must take the kitten to a veterinarian within 72 hours, at the Buyer's expense. The Buyer must notify the Seller of any claim under the warranty immediately. Any necessary treatment or other expenses must be authorized by the Seller prior to treatment and are the responsibility of the Buyer. All health-related decisions and expenses are the responsibility of the owning party. 2. If the veterinarian finds any physical problems that make the veterinarian think the kitten is a poor health risk, the veterinarian should write and sign a note on his/her letterhead stationery, explaining his/her findings within the first 72 hours. 3. If the above conditions are made, the kitten may be returned to the Seller within seven days for a refund minus the deposit, or exchanged for a new kitten, if available. The Buyer will be responsible for any shipping and handling costs. The Seller will make every attempt to replace the kitten with a kitten of the same gender, color, and markings, of similar or better quality. 4. The Buyer agrees to provide the cat with a clean, pleasant environment, conducive to good health and with adequate space for exercise. At least one litter box will be provided for each cat in the household and will be cleaned daily. The cat will be kept un-caged for the main duration of its life. 5. The Buyer will provide the cat with proper nutrition in the form of food that is healthful and balanced for a feline. Buyer will buy at least one bag of Life's Abundance in order to transition the pet over to a cat food of Buyer's choice if Buyer does not wish to continue feeding this Angel Life's Abundance. (Please see "Angels Need" link on the AngelGirls website for information.) 6. Fresh water will be provided daily. 7. The Buyer will provide the cat with proper veterinarian care, vaccines, and companionship. Any significant health conditions during the cat's lifetime will be reported to the Seller. 8. The buyer will take into consideration the Ragdoll cat's unique need for companionship and not leave the cat alone for long periods of time without companionship and care. 9. The Buyer will not let the cat roam outdoors. Letting the kitten/cat roam outdoors puts this Angel in jeopardy of coming in contact with sick animals and is a violation of this contract, and voids the warranty. 10. The Buyer will not declaw the kitten/cat. De-clawing is a serious surgery/amputation that removes the top knuckle on the paws of the kitten/cat called a tendonectomy procedure and is in violation of this contract, and will void the warranty. 12. A scratching post and regular claw trimming will be provided for this Kitten/Cat. 13. The Buyer will not, under any circumstances, give, sell, or lease the kitten/cat to any animal shelter, research facility or lab, kitten mill, laboratory, pet store, or other commercial enterprise. Because we love these Angels, if we find out any of our cats have ended up in shelters, we will sue in civil court for the full cost to Buyer of the pet, plus all legal fees, any distress to cat or AngelGirls, and any additional costs to rehabilitate the Kitten/Cat. 14. In the event that the Buyer can no longer keep the kitten/cat, the Seller will be contacted with first rights to the kitten/cat or to assist in the placement of the animal. 15. If the Buyer can no longer care for the kitten or wishes to give up the kitten for any reason, the Buyer must first notify the Seller. If the Seller decides to buy back the cat, the price will be negotiated at that time, but will not exceed half of the cats purchase price. 16. Ragdolls are extremely sensitive cats and often experience a period of adjustment that is aggravated by changes in environment and/or the addition or introduction of other felines. In these situations, owners need to be sensitive to signs of stress and make sure weight is maintained. New Kitten/Cats often show physical signs of stress within the first two weeks in a new home including but not limited to: sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, diarrhea, constipation, or hair loss. If any of these symptoms persist for longer than 72 hours after undivided attention has been given, please seek a licensed veterinarian care for peace of mind. Kitten/Cats often hide in their new homes for the first 72 hours. Please keep water, food, and a litter box nearby until your Angel acclimates. 17. Buyer agrees to isolate any other cats from this new Kitten/Cat for a minimum of two weeks, and until the veterinarian report finding has shown a clean bill of health for all indoor animals residing in the same home. Cat virus’s are highly infectious, so families already containing cats needs to have EVERY cat checked at the vet before the new Kitten/Cat is integrated, or no replacement kitten, or returns will be considered. No exceptions. 18. The New Kitten/Cat should be kept in a small area with limited and supervised exploration of the home for the first week. Unlike humans, cats find small spaces comforting when faced with new situations. We have found that keeping the kitten/cat in the bedroom with you, or in the bathroom next to your bedroom, has offered the most comfort in the first weeks. Keep the kittens carrier, food, water, and litter in this smaller space until acclimation has occurred. 19. This kitten/cat is sold with the understanding that it will not be used for breeding purposes. Any kitten/cat that is used as a breeding cat will be reclaimed by us in civil court for the full cost to the Buyer of the pet, plus all legal fees, and any additional costs to rehabilitate the Kitten/Cat. 20a. Upon receipt of a licensed veterinarian's written certification, showing that an altering operation has been performed, the above kitten's pedigree and registration application/papers will be forwarded if requested in a timely fashion, and hopefully within 45 days of receipt. 20b. If altering certification has not been received by ____________________, the undersigned buyer will be billed for $__________ which represents the cost of breeding rights. 20c. The papers will be held on this kitten and TICA and CFA will be notified of intent to breed, until such proof is provided, or compensation has been made. 21. Buyer agrees to send the Seller via email an electronic picture and email with status update at one year from time of purchase. Email: AngelGirl_Ragdolls@yahoo.com
LONG-TERM HEALTH CARE AND/OR LEGAL PROCEEDINGS:
1. The Seller will not be held liable for any veterinary or health care costs occurring while the cat is in possession of the Buyer, except as provided for by the above limited warranty. 2. The Seller's maximum liability to the Buyer for any and all losses, claims, damages, or liability of any kind shall be limited to the amount paid by the Buyer to the Seller under this agreement. Any expenses for health care requested of the Seller by the Buyer will be paid at the discretion of the Seller. If Buyer fails to comply with any aspect of this agreement, the Buyer forfeits any rights the Buyer may otherwise have. 3. If legal proceedings become necessary, the Buyer agrees that all legal and/or court procedures take place in the county in which the Seller resides. This contract establishes the overall terms and conditions applicable for the purchase or a Ragdoll Kitten/Cat from Angel Girls. All terms and conditions remain in effect for the life of the pet, and any agreed upon changes only affect the modified portion of this agreement, and all other terms and agreements remain intact and in effect. Any changes require an addendum with both the Buyer and Sellers signature and date. By signing below, the parties of the Buyer and the Seller indicate that they have read, agree to adhere to the conditions stated herein, and are in full agreement with all of the above provisions and conditions of the above contract. BUYER'S SIGNATURE _________________________________ DATE ____________ SELLER'S SIGNATURE __________________________________DATE____________ ADDENDUM: None Note: Ragdolls are precious, living, breathing creatures, and as such, AngelGirls reserves the right to refuse to sell to anyone at any time in this process.
VACCINE SCHEDULE
Vaccines (intranasal - not shots) are administered at approximatly 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and if your kitten is still here, at 16 weeks. We also recommend a 20 week vaccine as well, (done by your vet) based on recent developments in the AAFP guidelines. On occasion we administer vaccines at 4 weeks of age as well. We use Heska's IntraNasal FVRC in order to cause the least amount of stress to the kittens, even though they are more expensive.
We have included some basic information as well as a chart to make vaccine's and their scheduling easier to understand.
We used to use Fel-O-Vax IV By Fort Dodge, which is a killed vaccine. Starting in 2008, we switched to Heska's Feline UltraNasal FVRC Vaccine. It protects against rhinotracheitis (severe upper respiratory infection caused by feline type 1, herpes virus, showing signs of fever, loss of appetite, coughing, nasal and eye discharge, and dehydration usually requiring intravenous fluids), panleukopenia (feline distemper showing loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, and low white blood cell count usually requiring hospitalization with a high mortality rate), and calicivirus (several strains ranging from mild to life-threatening pneumonia showing signs of fever, lethargy, sneezing, and eye discharge). We stopped vaccinating against Chlamydia, a second vaccine, as it makes the younger kittens weaze. However, for the 16 week, or 20 week vaccine with your vet, we highly recommend you get vaccinated for Chlamydophilia, and Panleukopenia, as we do not always administer these to the younger kittens.
Feline UltraNasal Vaccines provide protection against the most prevalent causes of feline upper respiratory disease and feline panleukopenia without the use of needles. These nasal vaccines provide rapid protection against the most prevalent causes of feline upper respiratory diseases, rhinotracheitis virus and calicivirus.
It comes in an easily administered 0.2 mL dose and provides rapid local immunity for upper respiratory viruses in 2 - 4 days in a single mucosal dose. It can be used in kittens, and this Intranasal modified-live virus (FVRC) vaccine is the type of vaccine recommended by AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) Vaccination Guidelines. There are two vaccines with similar names. One should never be given to kittens under 16 weeks. The Feline UltraNasal FVRCP Vaccine protects against rhinotracheitis virus, calicivirus and panleukopenia. The Feline UltraNasal FVRC Vaccine protects against rhinotracheitis virus and calicivirus. For kittens, we use only the FVRC Vaccine, according to the VGG guidelines, reserving the panleukopenia vaccine (feline distemper) for a 16 week and older kitten. In addition to superior efficacy, Feline UltraNasal Vaccines also have several other benefits. Intranasal application eliminates the need for needles to administer the vaccine, thus reducing risk of injection site sarcomas or other undesirable reactions. Test data on file have shown that Heska's Feline UltraNasal Vaccines provide immunity within 2-4 days for upper respiratory disease.
All kittens recieve their first and second round of vaccines before leaving for your home, unless you have made arrangements to get your kitten before it is 12 weeks old.
Please read carefully about vaccines that are mentioned as dangerous in the Angel Contract, and notify your vet (we recommend that you take the contract to your vet for referencing) when you take your precious Angel for their first health check-up and visit.
You should begin interviewing and looking for a vet you might like, and schedule the first appointment before you have even received your kitten. You will need to have your kitten see a vet within 72 hours of delivery. For local deliveries, we recommend that we meet at a veterinarian of your choice on the day of pick-up, to assure your kitten is picture perfect on it's first day in your lives.
These are the latest guidelines, we follow updates carefully, and administer vaccines within the guidelines set forth by the VGG. Revaccination of adult cats All cats should receive a first booster at 12 months (one year) after completion of the above kitten vaccination course (this will ensure adequate vaccine-induced immunity for cats that may not have adequately responded to the primary course). Following this first booster, subsequent revaccinations are given at intervals of three (3) years or longer, unless special conditions apply.
Revolution is a dewormer that we use at about three months. It is not necessary for our kittens, but vets like to know that new kittens have been dewormed. ragdoll kittens, Maryland Ragdoll kittens, Maryland Ragdoll cats, Virginia Ragdoll kittens, Virginia Ragdoll cats, Ragdoll cats, Ragdoll kittens, Ragdoll cats, Ragdoll kittens, Ragdoll cats, Ragdoll kittens, Washington, DC Ragdoll Breeder, DC Ragdoll breeder, District of Columbia Ragdoll Breeder, the best Ragdoll breeder, USA Ragdoll cats, USA Ragdoll kittens, USA Ragdoll cats, USA Ragdoll kittens, USA Ragdoll cats, USA Ragdoll kittens, USA Ragdoll Breeder, USA cats and kittens, USA Ragdoll cats, USA Ragdoll kittens, USA Ragdoll cats, gorgeous Ragdoll kittens, cute white ragdoll kittens, champion ragdoll kittens |
